Exciting, Nerve-Wracking Win! 5-3

Beekmantown Scotts Chazy Rink

Senior day for Beekmantown at Scott’s Chazy Rink and the Marauders arrive from Lake Placid ready for action.

The team pulled out the win in what sounds like it was an exciting, down to the wire,  and penalty overloaded game.   Beekmantown went up early in the first frame on the PP, but Hanover got the equalizer soon after to go 1-1. By end of the first, Hanover netted goal 2. Score 2-1 HHS after one.  Optimism.  However, the second period was peppered with HHS box time, and Beekmantown was able to capitalize on 2 power plays to go up 3-2 after two.

In the last frame, a Hanover defender got the puck on transition and was able to get the equalizer. The go-ahead goal was put in on another hungry HHS PK– a game winning shorty! With Hanover up 4-3 and Beekmantown trying to get the equalizer, time out was called as Beekmantown pulled their goalie. On resumption of play, Hanover got the puck for an empty netter insurance goal, 5-3.

Way to pull it out, Marauders! Whatever it Takes!
