Oyster River, Saturday Dec. 18th @ 4:00 PM at Campion

4-0 win.  The Bobcats, who traditionally have been hindered by a short bench, showed up at Campion this year with numbers. Although graduating an experienced goaltender, they returned much of last year’s talent.  However, the Marauder girls overpowered a young Oyster River team, while contaning their known offensive strength.  Tessa’s goal in the first proved to be the game winner, but ample insurance came in the second from tallies by Hannah, Katrina, and Maddie.  The third period saw loose play from both teams without any scoring.  Hanover outshot Oyster River by a 29 to 16 margin.  Emily got the start and complete game shutout in goal.

Most of the other teams in NHIAA Girls’ D1 played today, and now all have played at least one game. Berlin sufferd its first loss of the season at home against Leb 3-5, while STD crucified Souhegan 10-1. Concord proved they’ve come to play, making  their season debut with a 1-1 tie at Bishop Guertin.

(The first version of the NHIAA Girls’ D1 head-to-head record matrix can be found on the RESULTS page, and will be updated at least weekly.)
