Oyster River, Thursday Jan. 15th @ 5:10 PM at Campion

The ORHS Bobcats looked to improve on their 3-1 loss to us at UNH in December.  With a shortened bench and much less firepower, Oyster River played hard… getting back to within a goal after four 2-goal deficits.  There was a nice crowd of Hanover supporters on a frigid evening at Campion Rink.

We prevailed:  5 – 4

Shots on goal were 35 for us vs. 16 for them.  Aviva took the win with 12 saves.  In a contest reminiscent of the Lebanon game, there was plenty of offense and we dominated in quality scoring chances.  Once again however,  blind passes (in all three zones) and transitions into pressure resulted in an unnecessarily more exciting game than it otherwise might have been.

Our next game is Saturday Jan. 17th @ 1:00 PM, away at Berlin’s Notre Dame Arena. (Berlin is the only team in the division that we have yet to meet.)
